    22.04 Screen flicker on mouse movement

    Hi, after installing 22.04, I'm seeing screen flicker occasionally. It seems to start when I move the mouse. I didn't have this issue with 20.04.
    I have an HP Pavilion with core i7-7500u processor and Intel HD Graphics 620 (rev 02).

    I was able to get this error message:
    $ sudo dmesg -l err
    [45638.659820] i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun

    I tried setting enable_psr=0 according to the marked solution in this post: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1376...ideapad-5i-pro
    but it didn't seem to affect the issue.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!!

    Re: 22.04 Screen flicker on mouse movement

    Hi-

    I am also experiencing a similar issue with 22.04 that I did not experience on the same machine with 20.04. I also have a similar message output running "$ sudo dmesg -l err" (as well as a few others-- sigh)
    Does your screen flickering issue occur with ONLY web browsers--specifically when placing the mouse cursor on the bottom half of the browser window?

    Wondering if I should open a new post for my issue.

    Thanks!

    It is either software or hardware issue. If software, try installing a window compositor like picom. If hardware, search for drivers for your GPU and install them. should do the thing.
